The cap is optional, the misbehaving isn't
The best afternoons are the ones that run away from you — family spilling into friends, wine spilling into stories, and nobody keeping track of the time. A field guide to misbehaving well.

The table was only meant for six. By three o'clock it held twelve, then sixteen, then someone's cousin who was 'just passing through' and stayed for dessert. That's the thing about a good lunch — it grows. It pulls people in from the garden, from the pub, from the beach with wet hair and no plan. This is the feeling we want to conjure up with our brand — true friends, family, extended family and love of life.
We're not interested in behaving. A lunch where nobody laughs loud enough to annoy the neighbours is a lunch wasted. The children — though they're not children any more — brought friends from university who brought friends of friends, and by pudding the table was a chaos of uncontrollable laughter, stories from childhood and how badly behaved we were, and someone's dog eating the remains of the main course.
Some rituals worth keeping: a rummage through a mates cellar to find the 'good stuff' after lunch, game of spoof for the next round, a trip to the first Thursday of the Lords test match, the moment someone says 'just one more' and everyone knows it means three. A faded cap that has been a faithful friend for a decade.
On the colour of confidence, restraint, and a little wink. Pink isn't loud — it's certain. It's the colour you wear when you've stopped asking permission. We chose it because it disarms people, and because nothing about a pink Pig takes itself too seriously.
